Welcome to Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun popularly called UTU in Devbhoomi of Uttarakhand.

I am happy to share that after coming into existence in the year 2005, the number of programmes offered by this University is on a constant rise and the aspirations of students, parents, industry, employers, and alumni have been stimulating the University to enhance its capabilities. The University is gearing up fast for capitalizing on the ensuing paradigm shift in technical education in particular and higher education in general for the betterment of its present and prospective students.

University is committed to strengthening the quality of teaching-learning processes along with making the examination system much more credible, transparent, and accountable. The re-modelling of curricula is undertaken for incorporating cutting-edge technological advances in theories and practices along withsetting up a modified operational framework in coherence with the National Education Policy 2020 to upgrade the competencies of the students to nurture them as successful future professionals.

Special focus is laid on experiential learning of students by engaging them to contribute to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals through technical outreach activities, innovations, incubation, and entrepreneurship in the Institutions.Industry 5.0 is contemplated as the guiding principle in academic and research & development activities in the University for leveraging the advanced technologies with a human touch to Industry 4.0. Sincere efforts are put in to rejuvenate the ongoing programmes and start new programmes in niche areas in the constituent/affiliated/autonomous institutions of the University to accomplish its vantage position as the most sought-after destination for technical education.
